A hidden gem in Southeast Asia that should be explored beyond the usual is none other than Cambodia. Recently, this Buddhist-majority country launched the ‘Cambodia Muslim Friendly’ book on Oct 9, 2025
Unveiled during the opening ceremony of Cambodia Muslim Tourism Forum and Fair 2025 at Al Serkal Mosque (Boeung Kak Mosque) in Phnom Penh, this book serves as a guide to promote the growth of Muslim tourism in Cambodia.
According H.E. Huot Hak, Cambodia’s Minister of Tourism, this publication supports the development and promotion of Muslim tourism plus highlighting the Muslim-friendly destination and businesses throughout the country. It also showcase the country’s readiness in welcoming Muslim tourists, aligned with the Muslim Tourism Development Plan (2023 – 2027).

He also applauded the tourism forum and fair, saying that it “reaffirms the image of The Kingdom of Cambodia: A Safe, Warm, and Friendly Destination”.
Themed “Assalamu Alaikum Cambodia: A Safe, Warm, and Friendly Destination”, the event is perfect platform to enhance the broader awareness of Cambodian culture, traditions, religious harmony and people-to-business exchanges.

This will inevitably strengthen the tourism sector and expand diplomatic and friendship ties between Cambodia and Islamic nations.
Held for three days from Oct 9 – 11, the forum and fair featured 100 booths from various tourism products and services, including halal food, embassies, accommodation providers, travel packages, and so much more.
