This campaign will let both local and global travelers rediscover the country and all its beauty, diversity, and warmth, as the country continues to shine as the leading Muslim-friendly destination.

Malaysia, A Leader in Muslim-friendly Tourism

This marks a decade of consecutive recognition by Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI) 2025, one that is solidified by the country’s foundation of progressive tourism policies, which includes accessible prayer facilities, inclusive travel experiences, and widespread availability of halal food.

Malaysia was also recognized as the Top Muslim Women-Friendly Destination of the Year in Halal in Travel Awards 2023, making it a safe destination for Muslimah who are traveling solo or in like-hearted ladies group.

Eight Vibrant Sectors To Explore Throughout ITM 2025

This year’s campaign unfolds across eight tourism sectors that are inclusive, meaningful, and personalized to all types of travelers.

  • Shopping and Retail
  • Tourism Products and Theme Parks

The tourism campaign is not exclusive to just Muslims, as Muslim-friendly also means inclusive to all.

Mosque Open Day Signature Program – An Inclusive Experience for All

Selected mosques across the nation will run guided tours, community-driven exhibitions, and activities for the public. And one doesn’t need to be a Muslim to even experience this.

This is aimed to showcase the social significance of mosques in Malaysia’s everyday life through inclusivity, cultural exchange and the historical plus spiritual side of each mosques.

Collaborate as an ITM 2025 Partner in lieu with Upcoming Visit Malaysia 2026 Year & Malaysia’s Chairmanship of ASEAN 2025

The organizer, Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC) is inviting all travel and hospitality players across the nation to join the movement as official ITM 2025 partners.

“As the Muslim-Friendly Tourism and Hospitality (MFTH) ecosystem continues to expand, ITM offers a timely opportunity to showcase products and services that are inclusive, values-driven, and culturally relevant, all while driving real business impact,” acting Director-General of ITC, Nur Alyssa Coraline Yussin said.

In line with Malaysia’s Chairmanship of ASEAN 2025 and the journey to welcome Visit Malaysia’s (VM2026), ITM2025 is a timely space that could expand the local high-value travel segment and deepen regional tourism collaboration.

This further positions Malaysia as the gateway to an experience-rich and inclusive tourism across Southeast Asia.

  • Hotels & Resorts
  • Mosques
  • Spa & Wellness Centres
  • Event Organisers
  • Theme Parks
